A post-10:00 post means it’s been a long (but great) day!
We started off at the local school. Jeremy and Tony taught. The boys played with the kids.
After lunch the guys were a part of the baseball ministry.
Ina and I helped the women at the Safe House make jewelry (and you should all buy some when we get back!). Sidenote-Best use of a pallet I’ve seen yet!
We’re tired tonight. Another full day of ministry lies ahead. I’m blinking hard to keep my eyes open while typing this.
Today…working with the women…that was most impactful. And this quote comes to mind, “He [Jesus] deeply unsettled the comfortable and deeply comforted the unsettled.”
God, keep me uncomfortable so I can better love the unsettled.
“Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’ If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, if you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.” (Isaiah 58:9-10)
