Learning from Veteran Parents

Jeremy and I brainstormed the other night of families we know whose kids have grown up to love and serve the Lord. We tried to find a common denominator. We talked, mentally crossed things out, and highlighted others. You know what we came up with? The 2 things these families all did?

One-they loved their kids to the core. They loved their kids by sharing and living the Gospel. They loved their kids by spending time with them. They loved their kids by being real. Etc…Etc…You get the picture-Love.

Number 2-they prayed. Yep, they got on their faces and begged for mercy and grace. They knew their Creator was ultimately in control.

So for us, we want to love our boys like crazy, but we also want to pray like crazy.

Because bottom line, it’s only God’s love and grace that will make the difference.
