Perfect Love

“Perfect love casts out fear.”  That’s what I John says.  So why do I often parent so fearfully?  Who am I expecting to judge me?  Christ offered me perfect love on the cross, and that perfect love casts out all fear.  His love is one that knows the past, present, and future.  He knows it for me and our boys.  I don’t have to fear what others think of my parenting.  I don’t have to fear that somehow I’ll “fail” our boys, and they won’t grow up to love and serve the Lord.  They are loved perfectly by their Creator and so am I.  That gives me the freedom to parent!
